help with crf230f jet kits?
im planning on putting a k@n air filter, pro circuit t-4 exhaust, rev box, and a new high performance cam. what should my jetting be to compensate for all of these engine modifications and where can i get these modifications for a 2004 crf230f???
The air filter change, the exhaust, and the rev box will not need to have the jetting looked into, the cam change may alter the mixture but go by plug readings before racing of to buy jets..
To get a better overall result you should think about a few directions you could take.
1. Additionally have the cylinder head ported and polished, consider a larger inlet valve and the valve seat angle re-cut to 10 degrees. A larger carby will increase the engine power if the head is done.
2. Trade the bike on a crf250f might be cost effective to give a bit more power over the 230.
3. Changing the rev box would be suspect in increasing the motor performance unless it is made for that purpose and can be computer adjusted(re-programmed).
4. As for the changing of the exhaust expect only a marginal increase in power from that; sound does not relate to horse power except in the mind. Maybe yours needs cleaning internally.
