I need the colour convention for telephone wires. L+ L-, ground?
I'm not sure exactly what your asking, but hope this helps.
Normal Phone wire has 4 wires(2 Pair) red-green and yellow-black. Nowadays you see it with many different colors and sometimes 6 to 8 pairs. It doesn't really matter other than for uniformitys sake just make sure you hook up the same 2 wires at the interface or protector(Thats where the main phone line comes into your house) and at the jack your puting in. It used to matter if you had touch tone dialing that you kept the ring and tip side of the wires straight but nowadays most places have it set so it doesn't matter. If you get the phone hook up and can't break dial tone just switch around the wires in the jack. The only thing grounded should be the protector itself and the phone company will have done that so you shouldn't have to mess with it. Hope this helps
